Onawa Secondary School Emblem

The Onawa Secondary School emblem represents the school culture and its surrounding. It has four main components:

​

  1. The Book.  The book represents the source of knowledge, wisdom and continuous learning to emancipate oneself from cognitive imprisonment.​

  2. The Grain Storage (Eshisha).  The Eshisha is a reserveiour which stores formal and informal knowledge that never runs dry and it can be sourced and shared with anyone in need.

  3. The Ring (Oluuli).  The Oluuli symbolizes a sense of unity, togetherness, comradeship, collegiality and represents a strong bond among the pillars (stakeholders) which leads to teamwork and efficiency.

  4. The Pillars (Eengudhi).  The eengudhi symbolizes a strong, stable, reliable foundation and support system rendered to the school by its stakeholders
